CypheRix is proud to present to you our Electronic Evidence Enrolment technology as other cryptographic security items and services.
Our iEnroll Electronic Evidence Enrolment technology allows users to easily demonstrate that evidence is original and unchanged. Further the system has been designed to allow one of the parties in a dispute to own the equipment as well as store the enrolled information yet still be able to show that they cannot tamper with the evidence. Our equipment is designed to be 'neutral' in any dispute.
The strong neutrality is due to the fact that for each enrolment session we create a new "one time" 1024 bit RSA key pair. We use the newly created secret exponent to sign the certificates, while putting the public key (plus more senior certificates) in the file that contains the signed voice and/or data files. Currently we use SHA1 for hashing. Please follow this link for a discussion on SHA1 and it's security.
All of our products allow the capturing of a digitally signed voice recording.
Currently we manufacture three electronic evidence enrolment products:
The iEnroll USB Evidence Enrolment Device and system. This device has two external audio inputs (line or microphone) and allows the submission of files on the USB interface for signature.
A Certified Cassette Digitizer. This allows the conversion of audio cassettes to a digital format using one integrated solution.
A hand held single channel Certified Audio Recorder (without USB file signature). CR_Console software downloads are available here.
Information on pricing is found here.
Possible uses of our USB Evidence Enrolment Device are given below:
Demographic enrolment stations. For example raw 1024 DPI fingerprints, photographs, scanned documents and the accepting fingerprint of the applicant and official.
Police evidence enrolment units can use our technology to combine voice with other data captured by any peripheral attached to the host PC. A digitally signed composite file is now created with all the various data elements each with their own digital certificates. Offsite backups protect from the loss of valuable evidence.
Court evidence and proceedings. A recording of the proceeding can be made and supporting documents scanned and added to the record.
Modern corporate governance requires transparency and accountability. Our devices can be used to record board meetings as to additionally add to the record the documentation used in the decision process. This completes the protection required by modern executives.
Human resources needs to protect the company in the event it is discovered that people have gained employment based on fraudulent claims. The interview with the prospective employee is recorded. All documentation including CVs and education certificates are scanned and sent for signature. Now one have a composite file with voice and documents.
Any situation where decisions are made where the onus is placed on the decision makers to show they have acted correctly. An example of this is board meetings as required by the Company Governance Acts in many countries.
A major advantage of this technique is that all enrolment can be done securely while the enrolling Personal Computer is off line.
The unique combination of voice and submitted data file certification allows the user to enrol electronic information in an extremely auditable manner.
Other security and cryptographic services:
More than twenty years of experience in Conditional Access system design for Pay Television. Simon Rix has eight world wide patents in the field from his time at MNet / Irdeto.
We have developed a secure boot loader for ARM based microcontrollers. We sell this as a development kit for ARM designers to allow them to securely down load software updates to their embedded systems. Our system uses USB tokens to sign the software. We have a unique scheme to protect developers as 2 of the 3 USB tokens must be present in order to release new software builds. We have this running on ST Micro Electronics' new STR91x devices. We will port this to others cores on request.
VHDL Cores. We offer a SHA1 complete with VHDL test bench, test vectors and 'C' to generate stimulus files. The SHA1 uses an SPI interface as the assumption is the customer will seek to accelerate a embedded microprocessor. For more information please see the VHDL Core page.
Side-channel attacks (SPA / DPA)
Test tools for Product Validation.
We look forward to being of service to you.
